Civil Site Engineer

1.     Site Supervision

• Monitor daily construction activities.
• Ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and labor teams.
• Supervise excavation, concreting, masonry, steel fixing, finishing works, etc.

2. Quality Control

• Inspect materials received at the site.
• Check workmanship and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Conduct site tests and inspections.
• Maintain quality records and reports.

3. Surveying and Setting Out

• Perform site measurements and leveling.
• Mark building layouts, foundations, columns, and other structural elements.
• Verify dimensions according to design drawings.

4. Planning and Execution

• Prepare daily and weekly work schedules.
• Monitor project progress against the construction program.
• Ensure timely completion of activities.
• Identify and resolve site-related issues.

5. Safety Management

• Enforce safety regulations and procedures.
• Conduct safety inspections and toolbox talks.
• Ensure workers use proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Report and investigate accidents or near misses.

6. Material Management

• Estimate material requirements.
• Monitor material consumption and wastage.
• Coordinate with procurement and store departments.
• Maintain material inventory records.

7. Documentation and Reporting

• Prepare daily progress reports.
• Maintain site records, inspection reports, and work logs.
• Record measurements for billing purposes.
• Assist in preparing project documentation and handover reports.

8. Coordination

• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, consultants, and clients.
• Attend site meetings and progress review meetings.
• Resolve technical and construction-related issues.

9. Cost Control

• Monitor work quantities and resource utilization.
• Minimize material wastage and rework.
• Assist in preparing estimates and project cost reports.

10. Project Handover

• Conduct final inspections.
• Prepare snag lists and ensure rectification.
• Assist in project completion and handover to the client.
