Mechanical Design Engineer

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Design Engineer to join our Design & Engineering team. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in mechanical design, product development, and manufacturing drawings, along with proficiency in CAD software. The candidate will be responsible for leading design activities, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely project execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop 3D models, assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
2. Prepare fabrication, machining, and assembly drawings as per engineering standards.
3. Design and develop automation systems, special purpose machines (SPMs), conveyors, and mechanical assemblies.
4. Perform design calculations, tolerance analysis, and component selection.
5. Coordinate with Production, Procurement, Sales, and Project teams to ensure smooth project execution.
6. Review customer requirements and translate them into practical engineering solutions.
7. Ensure designs comply with quality, safety, and manufacturing standards.
8. Support prototype development, testing, and design improvements.
9. Mentor junior design engineers and interns when required.
10. Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining design quality.

Required Skills

1. Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (Mandatory).
2. Good working knowledge of AutoCAD.
3. Sound understanding of machine design, sheet metal, fabrication, machining, and manufacturing processes.
4. Ability to prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and engineering documentation.
5. Good understanding of GD&T and engineering drawing standards.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Excellent communication and team coordination abilities.

Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
