Driver – Heavy & Light Vehicle | Transport & Logistics

Location: Poonamallee, Chennai

Work Areas: Poonamallee, Ambattur, Sriperumbudur, Avadi, Thirumazhisai, Oragadam, Chennai & other locations

Working Hours: 12-hour shift

Long-Distance Travel: Required

Food & Accommodation: Provided by Company

Job Responsibilities:

• Drive heavy and light commercial vehicles safely for transport operations.
• Heavy Vehicle Drivers will handle 25 ft container vehicles such as Eicher and similar vehicles.
• Transport goods safely to customer locations, warehouses and industrial areas.
• Handle both local and long-distance trips as required by the company.
• Travel to different cities and states for goods transportation and delivery.
• Operate vehicles across Poonamallee, Ambattur, Sriperumbudur, Avadi, Thirumazhisai, Oragadam and other locations.
• Ensure timely pickup and delivery of goods.
• Maintain trip sheets, delivery documents and vehicle records.
• Conduct basic vehicle checks and report maintenance or breakdown issues.
• Follow traffic rules, safety procedures and company instructions.

Eligibility:

• Heavy Vehicle Driver: Valid HMV Licence is mandatory.
• Light Vehicle Driver: Valid LMV Licence required.
• Experience in Eicher, 25 ft container or similar commercial vehicles preferred.
• Experience in long-distance transport driving will be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Chennai and major routes across Tamil Nadu and other states.
• Willing to work 12-hour shifts and undertake long-distance travel.
