Showroom Sales Engineer

Position: Showroom Sales Engineer – Furniture Showroom

JOB DESCRIPTION:

1. JOB PURPOSE

To manage showroom walk-in customers, understand their furniture and interior requirements, provide suitable product solutions, coordinate with the design and estimation team, generate quotations and follow up with prospects to achieve sales targets and customer conversion.

The candidate will be responsible for creating a positive showroom experience and converting enquiries into confirmed modular furniture orders.

2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. Showroom

Sales & Customer Handling

1.     Welcome and attend to customers visiting the modular furniture showroom.

2.     Understand customer requirements, budget, preferences and expected timeline.

3.     Explain the company's modular furniture products, designs, materials, finishes, accessories and hardware.

4.     Suggest suitable solutions based on customer requirements and budget.

5.     Conduct product presentations and showroom demonstrations.

6.     Maintain professional communication and build strong customer relationships.

7.     Ensure excellent customer experience throughout the sales process.

B. Lead Generation & Conversion

1.     Handle showroom walk-ins, enquiries, telephone enquiries, digital leads and references.

2.     Generate new sales leads through various channels.

3.     Regularly follow up with prospective customers.

4.     Convert qualified enquiries into confirmed orders.

5.     Maintain a proper lead pipeline and ensure no enquiry remains unattended.

6.     Identify high-potential customers and prioritize follow-ups.

7.     Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets assigned by management.

C. Sales Follow-up

1.     Maintain daily follow-up with prospective customers.

2.     Maintain updated lead status in CRM/Excel/lead management system.

3.     Identify reasons for lost sales and report them to the reporting manager.

4.     Maintain regular communication with existing customers for repeat/referral business.

3. JOB SPECIFICATION

Educational Qualification:

Minimum: Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, B.E. / B.Tech (Civil, Mechanical)

Experience: 2–8 Years

Candidates with experience in modular furniture, modular kitchen and wardrobe showroom experience will be preferred.
