Warehouse Manager

About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Trims Store Manager to independently manage our garment manufacturing trims and accessories store.

The person will be responsible for the complete inward, storage, inventory control, issuance, reconciliation and documentation of trims and accessories required for production.

The ideal candidate should have prior experience in a garment manufacturing unit and strong knowledge of garment trims, accessories, inventory management and coordination with Purchase, Merchandising, Production, Sampling and Accounts teams.

• Key ResponsibilitiesTrims & Accessories Store Management
• Manage day-to-day operations of the trims and accessories store.
• Maintain systematic storage and identification of all trims.
• Ensure proper segregation of materials style-wise, buyer-wise and order-wise wherever required.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and space utilization.
• Ensure all materials are properly labelled and stored.
• Material InwardReceive and verify all incoming trims and accessories against Purchase Orders, invoices, challans and approved requirements.
• Check quantities and basic specifications before accepting materials.
• Coordinate with Purchase, Merchandising and Quality teams in case of shortages, excesses or discrepancies.
• Prepare and maintain GRN/inward documentation.
• Ensure all inward transactions are updated in the ERP/system on time.
• Inventory ControlMaintain accurate physical and system inventory of all trims.
• Track stock of:
• Buttons
• Zippers
• Labels
• Hangtags
• Elastics
• Threads
• Tapes
• Velcro
• Cords
• Patches
• Polybags
• Cartons
• Packing materials
• Other garment accessories

• Maintain minimum/maximum stock levels where applicable.
• Identify shortages, excess stock, slow-moving and unused materials.
• Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconciliation.
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
• Issue to ProductionIssue trims and accessories against approved job cards, BOMs, production requirements or material requisitions.
• Ensure correct quantity and specification is issued for each style/order.
• Maintain proper documentation for every material issue.
• Track material issued versus required quantity.
• Ensure unused materials are returned to the store and properly recorded.
• Coordinate closely with Production, Cutting, Sampling and Merchandising teams to avoid production delays due to trim shortages.
• Order / Style-Wise ManagementMaintain clear visibility of trims required for each order/style.
• Track ordered vs received vs issued vs balance quantities.
• Ensure all required trims are available before production starts.
• Highlight shortages or pending materials to the concerned team in advance.
• Maintain proper traceability of buyer-specific and style-specific accessories.
• ERP & DocumentationMaintain all store transactions accurately in the ERP.
• Record inward, issue, return, transfer and adjustment transactions.
• Ensure physical stock and ERP stock are regularly reconciled.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly stock reports.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of store records.
• Team ManagementSupervise store assistants, helpers and other store personnel.
• Allocate daily responsibilities and monitor work.
• Train the team on proper material handling, storage and documentation.
• Ensure discipline and adherence to store SOPs.
• Take responsibility for overall accuracy and control of the trims store.
• Requirements4–8 years of experience in trims/accessories stores, preferably in a garment manufacturing company.
• Strong knowledge of garment trims and accessories.
• Experience handling style-wise/order-wise inventory.
• Good understanding of garment production and material requirements.
• Experience in stock reconciliation and physical inventory audits.
• Experience using ERP/software for inventory management.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to manage a team and independently handle store operations.
• Candidates from garment manufacturing, apparel or textile companies will be preferred.
