Job Description
- Operate Vertical Machining Centre (VMC) machines for precision component manufacturing.
- Read and understand engineering drawings, job specifications, and machining dimensions.
- Perform machine setting, tool loading, and tool offset adjustments as required.
- Monitor machining operations and ensure product quality.
- Inspect finished components using measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, and Height Gauges.
- Identify machining defects and report machine or quality issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain production targets while following quality and safety standards.
- Perform routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance.
- Follow production instructions and maintain workplace discipline.
- Basic knowledge of VMC machine operation and machining processes.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, tool offsets, and measuring instruments.
- Understanding of quality inspection and production requirements.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, if required.
