 Spare Parts Manager oversees the inventory, procurement, and daily operations of a parts department to ensure high equipment availability, minimize downtime, and maintain profitability.

Core Responsibilities

• Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, set optimal minimum/maximum thresholds, conduct cycle counts, and reduce slow-moving or dead/obsolete stock.
• Procurement and Vendor Management: Order parts from preferred suppliers, negotiate contracts and pricing, track delivery times, and manage warranty or damaged part returns.
• Cross-Department Coordination: Work closely with service, maintenance, and sales teams to supply required replacement parts quickly for repairs and customer requests.
• Staff Leadership: Hire, train, supervise, and mentor the parts department staff, including counter sales and warehouse personnel.
• Financial and Sales Oversight: Set and track departmental budgets, price parts to maximize gross margins, and generate sales productivity reports.
• Safety and Compliance: Enforce workplace safety protocols, maintain organized storage facilities, and adhere to industry regulations.
