QA / QC Manager

An RMC (Ready-Mix Concrete) QA (Quality Assurance) Manager oversees material testing, mix designs, and plant compliance to ensure concrete meets strict industry strength and durability standards.

Core Responsibilities

• Mix Design Optimization: Collaborate with production teams to test and refine concrete mix designs for optimal performance, workability, and cost-efficiency.
• Raw Material Testing: Supervise testing of raw materials like aggregates, cement, water, and admixtures to verify they match specified technical requirements.
• Compliance & Audits: Ensure plant operations and final concrete output comply with national standards (such as BIS/IS codes in India) and internal quality manuals.
• Batch Plant Quality Control: Monitor daily batching, slump tests, temperature tracking, and compressive strength cylinder/cube testing.
• Defect & Non-Conformance Management: Investigate customer complaints or failed strength tests, perform root-cause analysis, and deploy corrective actions (CAPA).
• Staff Training & Safety: Train lab technicians and plant operators on testing protocols while enforcing strict health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of test results, calibration logs for lab equipment, and dispatch quality certificates.
