Job Description
- Manage procurement of construction materials, equipment and services as per project requirements.
- Identify and coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for quotations and availability.
- Prepare comparative statements and assist in commercial negotiations.
- Coordinate with project teams, consultants, clients and site teams regarding material requirements, specifications and delivery schedules.
- Issue purchase orders and follow up on deliveries and documentation.
- Ensure timely procurement in line with project schedules and site requirements.
- Monitor market rates, price movements, availability and lead times.
- Ensure materials comply with approved specifications, quality standards and commercial terms.
- Maintain vendor records, purchase orders, procurement documentation and MIS reports.
- Coordinate with accounts and stores for payments, deliveries and reconciliation.
- Support cost-control initiatives and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Develop and maintain reliable vendor relationships and alternate supplier sources.
- Resolve procurement-related issues and coordinate with project teams to prevent material delays.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company procedures and project requirements.
