Job Description

  • Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, machines, and systems.
  • Create and modify 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings.
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings with GD&T, tolerances, fits, and surface-finish requirements.
  • Perform mechanical calculations related to strength, load, stress, torque, vibration, and thermal requirements.
  • Select appropriate materials, fasteners, bearings, motors, shafts, gears, and other mechanical components.
  • Conduct design reviews and identify opportunities for cost, weight, and performance optimization.
  • Work closely with manufacturing, production, quality, electrical, and procurement teams.
  • Develop prototypes and support testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Analyze design failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering standards and safety requirements.
  • Prepare BOMs, specifications, engineering documentation, and revision records.
  • Support new product development and engineering change activities.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, AutoCAD, or NX.
  • Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-up, DFM/DFA, and engineering drawing standards.
  • Understanding of materials, machining, sheet metal, welding, casting, forging, and fabrication.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of basic FEA and simulation tools is an advantage.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
