Job Description
A DST (Direct Sales Team or Direct Sales Executive) at Tata Teleservices Limited (operating as Tata Tele Business Services - TTBS) is a field-based sales role focused on acquiring small-to-medium business (SMB) and enterprise customers.
Key Responsibilities of a DST
* New Customer Acquisition: Identify new business logos and pitch telecom and ICT (Information and Communication Technology) solutions to corporate clients.
* Hyperlocal & Field Sales: Conduct door-to-door visits, building/office surveys, and direct pitches in assigned micro-markets or business clusters.
* Product Portfolio Pitching: Sell enterprise and business-grade solutions, including:
• Internet Leased Line (ILL)
• Multiplex Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) and Peer-to-Peer (P2P) connections
• Cloud communication and Smart Flo
• SIP trunking and PRI services
• WhatsApp Business Marketing and Cybersecurity solutions
• SD-WAN and Microsoft 365 licenses
* Target & Revenue Achievement: Meet monthly recurring revenue (MRC) targets and lead generation goals.
* Sales Funnel & CRM Tracking: Log daily visits, manage prospect pipelines, and maintain data hygiene using Salesforce or internal CRM tools.
Role Structure & Compensation
* Reporting: DSTs typically report to a Cluster Lead or Area Sales Manager who oversees a specific geographic locality.
* Qualifications: Open to fresh graduates or MBA holders, as well as experienced telecom/B2B field sales representatives.
* Compensation: Typically ranges between ₹3.0 Lakhs to ₹5.0 Lakhs per annum (CTC), supplemented by performance-based sales incentives.
