Cost Accountning

ROLE SUMMARY

We are looking for a detail-oriented Costing Executive to study day-to-day manufacturing processes and materials, and to identify practical ways to reduce cost without compromising quality. The role involves analysing raw material usage, process time, wastage, and overheads across products and processes, and working closely with production, purchase, and quality teams to implement cost-saving measures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•     Study the cost structure of existing products and processes, including material, labour, machine time, and overheads.

•     Identify areas of material wastage, process inefficiency, and avoidable expenditure, and recommend corrective action.

•     Prepare and maintain accurate product/process costing sheets and cost comparison reports.

•     Work with the production and purchase teams to explore alternate materials, vendors, or process changes that reduce cost.

•     Track the impact of implemented cost-reduction measures and report actual savings achieved.

•     Benchmark internal costs against market rates and competitor pricing where data is available.

•     Support pricing and quotation decisions by providing accurate, up-to-date costing inputs to management.

•     Coordinate with finance/accounts for cost allocation, variance analysis, and periodic cost reviews.

•     Provide regular costing and cost-saving reports to management.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

•     Graduate in Commerce or Management — B.Com, BBA, M.Com, or MBA (Finance/Operations preferred).

•     0–2 years of experience in costing, cost accounting, or a related finance/operations role; freshers with strong analytical skills may also apply.

•     Good understanding of costing concepts — material cost, process cost, overheads, and variance analysis.

•     Good working knowledge of MS Excel; familiarity with ERP/accounting software is an advantage.

•     Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with production, purchase, and management teams.

•     Self-motivated, methodical, and able to work with minimal supervision.

•     Fixed salary between ₹21,000 to ₹25,000, with performance-based salary increments.
