Chinese Chef

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Commis Chef – Chinese Cuisine to join our cloud kitchen team. The candidate will assist senior chefs in preparing authentic Chinese dishes while maintaining food quality, hygiene, and kitchen standards.

• Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and cook Chinese dishes according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Assist in the preparation of ingredients such as vegetables, sauces, noodles, rice, and meats.
• Perform mise en place and ensure all ingredients are ready before service.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain consistency in taste, quality, portion size, and presentation.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation.
• Monitor food stock and inform the senior chef about shortages or wastage.
• Assist in receiving, storing, and properly handling kitchen supplies.
• Support the Chef de Partie / Sous Chef during busy service periods.
• Minimize food wastage and maintain proper portion control.
• Follow all company and kitchen policies.
• Required SkillsBasic knowledge of Chinese cuisine and cooking techniques.
• Knowledge of wok cooking, stir-frying, steaming, frying, and sauce preparation.
• Good knife-handling skills.
• Understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Teamwork and good communication skills.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Qualification & ExperienceEducation: Culinary / Hotel Management qualification preferred.
• Experience: 0–2 years in Chinese cuisine; freshers with relevant culinary training may also apply.
