Job Description

We are looking for an AutoCAD Designer / Mechanical Draughtsman to join our manufacturing team in Peenya.

The candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed manufacturing drawings, converting customer requirements into production-ready drawings, and coordinating with the production team to ensure accurate execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare 2D manufacturing and fabrication drawings using AutoCAD
• Create detailed drawings with dimensions, tolerances, materials and specifications
• Understand customer requirements and convert them into production drawings
• Prepare drawings for sheet-metal fabrication, laser cutting, CNC and assembly
• Modify and revise drawings based on production/customer feedback
• Coordinate closely with the Production Manager and fabrication team
• Check drawings for dimensional accuracy before releasing them for production
• Prepare BOMs and material requirements where required
• Maintain and organize drawing files and revisions
• Support production with technical clarification when required

Required Skills

• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD
• Mechanical drawing and fabrication knowledge
• Understanding of sheet-metal components and fabrication processes
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Knowledge of dimensions, tolerances and basic GD&T
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with shop-floor personnel

Qualification

• Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering preferred
• 1–5 years of relevant experience preferred
• Freshers with strong AutoCAD and mechanical drawing skills may also be considered

Preferred Experience

Experience in sheet-metal fabrication, signage/fabrication, laser cutting, CNC, machinery, enclosures or similar manufacturing environments will be an advantage.
