Accountant

Prajwal Pacovation is looking for a responsible, detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting, financial records and statutory compliance for our growing business.

Prajwal Pacovation provides comprehensive packaging solutions, including primary and secondary packaging materials, industrial consumables, packaging machinery and automation solutions. We work with customers across various industries, providing both products and technical services.

The ideal candidate should have practical experience in accounting, a strong working knowledge of Tally Prime, GST, TDS and reconciliations, and the ability to independently manage routine accounting operations in an SME business environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Day-to-Day Accounting

• Maintain daily accounting transactions and entries in Tally Prime.
• Handle purchase, sales, receipt, payment, journal and contra entries.
• Verify purchase invoices, sales invoices, expense bills and supporting documents.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
• Maintain proper accounting documentation and records.

2. Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Manage customer outstanding balances and vendor payables.
• Monitor customer collections and follow up on overdue payments.
• Track vendor payment schedules and ensure timely processing.
• Maintain customer and vendor ledgers.
• Perform regular customer and vendor account reconciliations.
• Coordinate with the sales and operations teams regarding outstanding payments and discrepancies.

3. GST, TDS & Statutory Compliance

• Handle GST-related accounting and reconciliation.
• Assist in preparation and filing of GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B.
• Reconcile GSTR-2B with purchase records.
• Handle TDS calculations, deductions, payments and return-related compliance.
• Prepare and maintain E-way Bills and E-invoices.
• Ensure timely compliance with applicable statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with the company's Chartered Accountant for statutory filings and assessments.

4. Banking & Financial Reconciliation

• Perform regular bank reconciliations.
• Maintain records of bank transactions, payments and receipts.
• Monitor banking transactions and coordinate with banks whenever required.
• Maintain accurate records of loans, OD accounts and other banking facilities, wherever applicable.

5. Inventory & Business Operations Accounting

• Maintain accounting records related to inventory, purchases and sales.
• Coordinate with the warehouse and dispatch teams to ensure proper documentation.
• Verify stock-related transactions and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain records of material movements, stock adjustments and inventory valuations.
• Ensure proper accounting of machinery sales, consumables, service income and related expenses.

6. MIS & Financial Reporting

• Assist in monthly closing activities.
• Prepare monthly outstanding reports, receivables and payables statements.
• Generate basic MIS reports related to sales, purchases, expenses and collections.
• Maintain expense records and assist management with financial information.
• Support management in tracking business performance and cash flow.

7. Audit & Documentation

• Coordinate with external auditors and Chartered Accountants.
• Maintain proper records for audits and statutory requirements.
• Ensure accounting records are organised, accurate and readily accessible.

Candidate Requirements

• 2–5 years of relevant experience in accounting.
• Good working knowledge of Tally Prime.
• Practical knowledge of GST, TDS and statutory compliance.
• Experience in accounts payable and receivable management.
• Good understanding of bank, customer and vendor reconciliations.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with E-way Bills and E-invoicing.
• Ability to independently manage routine accounting operations.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organisational skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Candidates with prior experience in manufacturing, trading, distribution or SME businesses will be preferred.
• Experience handling end-to-end accounting operations will be an advantage.
• Should be comfortable coordinating with internal departments, vendors, customers and external professionals.
• Should demonstrate ownership, accountability and the ability to work independently.
