Job Summary

We are hiring a Design Engineer (Solar) to handle end-to-end system design, technical drawings, and design coordination for rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects. The role requires working closely with sales and execution teams to deliver accurate, compliant, and site-ready designs that meet MNRE and DISCOM standards.

Key Responsibilities

•   Prepare solar layout drawings, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), General Arrangement (GA) drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)

•   Perform system sizing, load calculations, and energy generation estimates

•   Conduct shadow analysis and project feasibility checks

•   Ensure all designs comply with MNRE, DISCOM, and relevant safety standards

•   Support the sales team with pre-sales design proposals and technical inputs

•   Provide execution-ready drawings and design clarifications to site teams

•   Review and update design documentation through project revisions

•   Coordinate with procurement and project teams for material specifications

Requirements

•   B.E / B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering

•   1–4 years of experience in solar design or EPC projects

•   Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory)

•   Strong understanding of solar PV systems, inverters, modules, and mounting structures

•   Ability to read and interpret electrical and civil drawings

•   Good communication and cross-functional coordination skills

•   Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple design tasks simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

•   Hands-on experience with PVsyst or Helioscope for yield simulation

•   Familiarity with net metering guidelines and state DISCOM requirements

•   Prior exposure to both rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects

•   Knowledge of structural design considerations for solar mounting systems
