Sales Officer

Job Title : Sales Officer – RMC & Crusher Plant

Location: RR Nagar Benglauru

Department: Sales / Business Development

Reporting to: Sales Manager / Unit Head

Job Purpose

Responsible for generating business for Ready Mix Concrete (RMC), managing customer relationships, achieving monthly sales targets, and ensuring timely collection of payments.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Identify new customers / builders / contractors for RMC sales in assigned territory.
• Generate enquiries, follow-up, prepare quotations & convert leads into orders.
• Maintain daily customer visits and enquiry reports.
• Achieve monthly sales targets as per company plan.
• Coordinate with plant team for scheduling & delivery of concrete.
• Ensure all dispatches are as per order terms / mix design / and required specifications.
• Maintain strong customer relationships to ensure repeat business.
• Track competitor pricing, market trends & share inputs with management.
• Ensure timely collection of payments and follow-up on outstanding dues.
• Coordinate with accounts team for invoicing, delivery challans & billing.
• Handle customer queries, complaints & resolve issues with plant/technical support.
• Ensure adherence to company commercial policies and documentation.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Any degree (Preferably Civil / Marketing).
• 2 – 5 years’ experience in RMC sales / construction materials sales.
• Good communication & negotiation skills.
• Should have own 2-wheeler for field visits.
• Good knowledge of local construction contractors, builders & sites.
• Ability to meet targets & strong follow-up skills.

KPIs / Performance Measures

• Monthly sales volume achievement (m³).
• Customer conversion rate.
• Collection efficiency & DSO (days sales outstanding).
• New customer acquisition count.
