Job Description: Procurement Manager

1. Procurement Planning:

Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project timelines and budgets.

Forecast material and equipment requirements for ongoing and upcoming projects.

2. Vendor Management:

Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers.

Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors to secure the best deals.

Monitor supplier performance and maintain a database of qualified vendors.

3. Purchasing:

Manage the purchasing process for construction materials, tools, and equipment.

Ensure procurement activities adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements.

Track orders and ensure timely delivery to job sites.

4. Cost Control:

Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.

Monitor procurement budgets and maintain accurate financial records.

Mitigate risks related to price fluctuations, shortages, or supplier issues.

5. Quality Assurance:

Ensure purchased materials meet project specifications and quality standards.

Address and resolve issues with defective or non-compliant materials.

6. Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Construction

Management, or a related field.

Proven experience in procurement within the construction industry.

Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.

Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Familiarity with construction materials, equipment, and supply chain processes.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.
