Data Annotation Specialist- Hindi

We're looking for a Data Annotation Specialist Hindi to join a small in-house team working on Hindi and Hinglish data. The work is

detailed and consistent by nature, accuracy matters more than speed.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Label and classify data in Hindi and Hinglish according to detailed guidelines.
• Apply consistent conventions for spelling, names, numerals, and mixed-script text.
• Review and correct work done by other annotators.
• Flag edge cases and help refine the guidelines.
• Meet daily accuracy and output targets.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 1–4 years in data annotation, localisation, translation, or language QA. Freshers with a strong language background are welcome.
• Native or near-native Hindi, with working English.
• Fast, accurate typing in both Devanagari and romanised Hindi.
• A formal background in language or linguistics is strongly preferred — Linguistics, Hindi, or Translation Studies. These candidates
• will be prioritised and considered for Senior / Lead positions.
• Solid understanding of Hindi grammar, morphology, and script conventions.
• A systematic approach to Hindi–English code-mixing and transliteration.
• Familiarity with regional variation — Bhojpuri, Awadhi, Haryanvi, Rajasthani, Dakhni.
• Other regional languages (Telugu, Tamil, Kannada) are a plus.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the patience for routine work done accurately.
