Mechanical Engineer

Key Responsibilities • Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of production machinery and equipment. • Execute scheduled preventive maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime. • Diagnose mechanical faults and perform timely repairs. • Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities for improving equipment reliability. • Inspect mechanical systems, components, and utilities to ensure smooth operation. • Maintain maintenance logs, checklists, and service records. • Coordinate with production teams to resolve machine-related issues efficiently. • Ensure proper lubrication, alignment, and replacement of mechanical parts. • Follow maintenance SOPs and safety regulations at all times. • Support installation, commissioning, and modification of machinery when required. • Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine efficiency and productivity. Required Skills • Good knowledge of preventive and breakdown maintenance. • Understanding of mechanical equipment, rotating machinery, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, compressors, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems. • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently. • Knowledge of TPM, 5S, and preventive maintenance practices is preferred. • Familiarity with engineering drawings and maintenance documentation. • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. • Good communication and teamwork abilities. • Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment. Preferred Candidate Profile • 1–3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment. • Experience in preventive maintenance is mandatory. • Candidates from refrigeration, heavy engineering, machinery, industrial manufacturing, HVAC, fabrication, or process industries will be preferred. • Self-motivated, responsible, and committed to maintaining high operational standards.
