We are looking for a technically sound, experienced, and execution-oriented Civil Engineer who can independently handle civil construction activities associated with PEB buildings and industrial development projects.

The ideal candidate should have strong practical knowledge of PEB foundations, industrial flooring, RCC works, boundary wall construction, site development, and civil project management.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• 1. PEB BUILDING FOUNDATIONS & RCC WORKS
• Execute and supervise civil foundations for Pre-Engineered Steel Buildings (PEB).
• Handle isolated footings, combined footings, pedestal foundations, and other RCC foundation systems.
• Ensure accurate setting out of building grids, column centerlines, and foundation levels.
• Supervise excavation, PCC, reinforcement, shuttering, concreting, curing, and backfilling.
• Ensure accurate positioning, alignment, projection, and leveling of anchor bolts as per approved PEB drawings.
• Coordinate with structural design and PEB erection teams for foundation readiness.
• Verify foundation dimensions, pedestal elevations, bolt templates, and tolerances before erection.
• Ensure proper concrete quality, reinforcement placement, and workmanship.
• Coordinate soil testing, compaction testing, and foundation-related inspections.

• 2. INDUSTRIAL FLOORING & PAVEMENT WORKS
• Supervise industrial flooring works for factories, warehouses, and manufacturing units.
• Execute VDF (Vacuum Dewatered Flooring), Trimix flooring, RCC flooring, and heavy-duty industrial floors.
• Monitor subgrade preparation, soil compaction, GSB, WMM, and PCC layers wherever applicable.
• Ensure proper reinforcement, concrete thickness, floor levels, and surface finishing.
• Supervise floor hardener application, power trowel finishing, and curing.
• Execute construction joints, expansion joints, saw-cut joints, and joint sealant works.
• Ensure proper slope, drainage, and floor flatness as per project requirements.
• Coordinate flooring activities with PEB erection, machinery installation, and other site works.

• 3. BOUNDARY WALL & COMPOUND WALL CONSTRUCTION
• Independently execute industrial boundary walls and compound wall projects.
• Supervise excavation, RCC footings, columns, plinth beams, and associated structural works.
• Manage brick masonry, blockwork, plastering, coping, and finishing.
• Execute precast boundary walls and RCC panel installations wherever required.
• Ensure correct wall alignment, verticality, levels, and structural stability.
• Coordinate construction of entrance gates, gate pillars, and security cabins.
• Monitor material consumption, workmanship, and execution timelines.

• 4. SITE DEVELOPMENT & EXTERNAL CIVIL WORKS
• Supervise internal roads, approach roads, and industrial pavement construction.
• Execute stormwater drains, surface drainage, and rainwater harvesting-related civil works.
• Manage earth filling, leveling, grading, and compaction.
• Supervise retaining walls, trenches, culverts, and underground civil structures.
• Coordinate underground utility crossings and associated civil works.
• Execute loading/unloading areas, ramps, and external hardstand areas.
• Ensure site levels and drainage arrangements are maintained according to approved drawings.

• 5. DRAWING STUDY, ESTIMATION & BILLING
• Read and interpret architectural, structural, RCC, and civil construction drawings.
• Prepare and verify BOQs, quantity estimates, and material requirements.
• Prepare Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) and reinforcement quantity calculations.
• Carry out site measurements and maintain measurement books (MB).
• Verify contractor and subcontractor running account (RA) bills.
• Monitor actual material consumption against estimated quantities.
• Identify quantity variations and prepare additional work statements.
• Assist management in cost estimation, budgeting, and project profitability.
• Maintain records of work completed and certify quantities for billing.

• 6. SITE EXECUTION & CONTRACTOR MANAGEMENT
• Independently manage day-to-day civil construction activities at multiple industrial project sites.
• Coordinate civil contractors, subcontractors, labor teams, and equipment operators.
• Prepare daily and weekly work schedules with clear execution targets.
• Ensure availability of manpower, construction materials, machinery, and equipment.
• Monitor contractor productivity and ensure timely completion of activities.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, consultants, and PEB erection teams.
• Resolve site-level technical and execution issues.
• Identify potential delays and implement corrective action plans.
• Ensure proper sequencing between civil works and steel structure erection.

• 7. QUALITY CONTROL & SAFETY MANAGEMENT
• Ensure execution strictly as per approved drawings, specifications, and relevant IS codes.
• Inspect reinforcement, shuttering, formwork, and concrete before pouring.
• Monitor concrete slump tests, cube testing, and other required quality checks.
• Maintain inspection checklists, test reports, and quality records.
• Ensure proper curing, concrete cover, dimensional accuracy, and finishing.
• Maintain safe excavation practices, PPE compliance, and construction site safety.
• Ensure adherence to company quality standards and site safety procedures.
• Coordinate inspections with client representatives and consultants.

• 8. PROJECT PLANNING, REPORTING & DOCUMENTATION
• Prepare Daily Progress Reports (DPR) with photographs and site updates.
• Track planned versus actual project progress.
• Maintain material reconciliation and consumption statements.
• Prepare weekly progress reports for management review.
• Maintain contractor billing, labor deployment, and work completion records.
• Prepare snag lists, punch lists, and project handover documentation.
• Coordinate timely closure of pending site observations.
• Ensure proper documentation from project commencement to final handover.

• REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS
• Strong practical experience in industrial civil construction.
• Hands-on knowledge of RCC foundations and PEB anchor bolt installation.
• Expertise in industrial flooring and boundary wall construction.
• Ability to independently interpret structural and civil drawings.
• Good understanding of surveying, leveling, and site layout.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Excel, and MS Office.
• Experience with Auto Level, Total Station, and surveying instruments.
• Strong knowledge of BBS, BOQ, quantity surveying, and contractor billing.
• Understanding of concrete mix grades, reinforcement specifications, and IS codes.
• Ability to manage multiple contractors and project execution teams.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and site coordination skills.

PREFERRED CANDIDATE PROFILE

We are particularly interested in candidates who:

✅ Have previously worked on PEB industrial sheds, warehouses, factories, or industrial infrastructure projects.

✅ Have independently handled civil foundation work from excavation to anchor bolt handover.

✅ Possess practical experience in heavy-duty industrial flooring and boundary wall construction.

✅ Can manage contractors, material planning, billing, quality, and project schedules.

✅ Are comfortable with extensive site visits and traveling to project locations.

✅ Can take complete ownership of assigned civil works with minimal supervision.

Candidates with experience only in residential construction and without relevant industrial project exposure may not be preferred.
