Position: Dimensional Inspection Engineer / Technician

Department: Dimensional Inspection Laboratory

Location: Bangalore / Anekal, Karnataka

Experience: 0–3 Years

Qualification: ITI / Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field

• Job ResponsibilitiesPerform dimensional inspection and measurement of components as per drawings and specifications.
• Operate and handle Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) for dimensional and geometric measurements.
• Operate Contour & Roughness Measuring Machines for surface profile and roughness measurement.
• Operate Height Master / Height Gauge for precision dimensional inspection.
• Operate Video Measuring Machine (VMM) for accurate measurement of components and features.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, tolerances, and inspection requirements.
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain measurement records.
• Ensure proper handling and care of precision measuring instruments and equipment.
• Identify measurement deviations and report non-conformities.
• Follow laboratory procedures, quality requirements, and safety practices.
• Maintain equipment and working area in good condition.
• Support calibration and verification activities of measuring instruments.
• Required SkillsGood knowledge of engineering drawings, tolerances and GD&T.
• Basic understanding of dimensional metrology and inspection methods.
• Practical knowledge of CMM, VMM, contour, roughness and height measurement equipment.
• Ability to analyze measurement results and prepare inspection reports.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic computer knowledge and documentation skills.
• PreferredExperience in a metrology / dimensional inspection laboratory or manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of CMM software such as CALYPSO, PC-DMIS or equivalent will be an advantage.
• Freshers with good technical knowledge and willingness to learn may also apply.
