Job Description – Quality Engineer (Ammonia Division)

Designation: Quality Engineer

Department: Mechanical – Ammonia Division

Location: Dantali - Ahmedabad

Qualification: BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Experience: As per company requirement

Key Responsibilities

Handle Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities for the final product.

Conduct testing and inspection of materials and components as per ITP/QAP and SOP.

Perform and maintain welding process parameter and validation reports.

Verify MTCs (Material Test Certificates) and other material certificates for vessels and components.

Maintain proper quality documentation, inspection records, remarks, and activity reports.

Identify, analyze, and resolve quality-related defects and non-conformities.

Carry out step-wise inspection to reduce inspection time without compromising quality.

Perform quality inspections such as RT, DPT, alignment checks, etc.

Handle troubleshooting of issues such as hydro/pneumatic test leakage, including identifying the cause and ensuring corrective action.

Conduct quality risk analysis and risk control activities.

Review product and service requirements to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Analyze recurring quality problems and implement effective corrective/preventive actions.

Support and train workshop/team members to improve quality and technical skills.

Coordinate effectively with production, workshop, and management teams to achieve better quality with minimum time and energy.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of testing and inspection techniques.

Knowledge of RT, DPT, alignment and other inspection methods.

Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to perform data and statistical analysis for recurring quality issues.

Knowledge of welding inspection and documentation.

Good documentation and reporting skills.

Strong teamwork and coordination skills.

Ability to maintain quality while improving inspection efficiency.
