Purchase Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day purchase activities for solar projects and business requirements.
• Source and evaluate suppliers, vendors, and manufacturers.
• Obtain quotations, compare prices, and negotiate commercial terms.
• Prepare and process purchase orders as per approved requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors regarding material availability, pricing, quality, and delivery timelines.
• Maintain proper records of purchase orders, quotations, invoices, and vendor documents.
• Coordinate with the accounts, warehouse, project, and sales teams for procurement requirements.
• Track pending orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Follow up with vendors for order status, dispatches, and delivery schedules.
• Support vendor development and maintain good supplier relationships.
• Ensure purchases are made as per required specifications and company standards.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in Purchase/Procurement, preferably in the solar industry.
• Graduation in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
• Basic understanding of solar products, components, and electrical materials will be an advantage.
• Good negotiation, vendor management, and follow-up skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Knowledge of ERP software and purchase documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple purchase requirements and work within deadlines.
