Job Description (JD) for a Design Engineer at the Vamaj Plant in the Production Division.

Location: Vamaj - Kalol & Dantali

Division: Production

Reporting To: Production Manager 

Key Responsibilities

 Preparation of Drawing for production.

 Preparation of drawing for customer approval

 Preparation of Costing for new project / changes in running jobs.

 Side Visit for the inspection the accidental vehicle 

 Side Visit for the inspection of new vehicles.

 Attending customer complained and provide proper solution.

 Provide estimated value of accidental vehicle to sales person.

 Provide technical support to outside dealer.

 Provide dispatch paper to customer at the time of delivery 

 Work order creation, MRP, (JOB order, child part) in ERP system.

 Provide technical support to production department ( when required)

 Guide Supervisor for repairing the accidental vehicle.

 Preparation plan for dispatch the CKD panels to concern dealers

 BOM Freeze

Qualification

• B.E. in Mechanical Engineering with Design Engineering as a core subject.

Required Skills

• Minimum 3 years of design engineering experience. 

• Strong knowledge of 2D drafting and 3D modeling. 

• Sheet Metal Design, Fabrication

• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings. 

• Good communication with customers, sales, and production teams. 

• Ability to reduce product/project costing through design improvements.
