CNC Programmer Cum Operator

Location: Mehtex Engineering

Department: Production / Machining

Job Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC/VMC machines for production.
• Prepare and modify CNC programs as per engineering drawings and component requirements.
• Set work offsets, tool offsets, tool lengths, and cutting parameters.
• Select appropriate cutting tools and machining processes.
• Read and understand engineering drawings, GD&T, tolerances, and surface-finish requirements.
• Perform in-process and final inspection using Vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, thread gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Identify and rectify machining, dimensional, and tooling issues during production.
• Maintain proper machine settings, tooling, and production records.
• Ensure production meets required quality, quantity, and cycle-time targets.
• Follow safety, housekeeping, and quality procedures.

Requirements:

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or equivalent technical qualification preferred.
• 2–5 years of relevant CNC/VMC programming and operating experience.
• Good knowledge of CNC machine setup, programming, tooling, and machining processes.
• Ability to independently read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Good knowledge of inspection and measurement techniques.
• Knowledge of CNC controls such as Fanuc will be an advantage.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic machining and machine-related problems.
• Willingness to work in shifts and meet production requirements.
