Accountant

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Management:

• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of vendor invoices for raw materials and prompt collection of client payments.
• Maintain and update the general ledger, reconciling bank statements, cash accounts, and vendor ledgers on a weekly basis.
• Prepare and process monthly payroll for factory floor personnel, stitching unit teams, and office staff.
• Manage GST compliance, including generating e-way bills, and preparing data for monthly/quarterly tax filings.
• Generate monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses for management review.
• Maintain petty cash and track daily operational expenses.

Data Entry & Inventory Tracking:

• Input daily production data with a high degree of accuracy, logging details from godown jobcards to excel sheet
• Track and record fabric stock to ensure accurate inventory valuation and minimize material waste.
• Maintain up-to-date digital inventory records for all textiles (rayon, cotton, polyester, lycra), alerting management to low stock levels.
• Digitize and organize physical documents, including purchase orders, delivery challans, invoices, and material receipts.
• Maintain accurate vendor, supplier, and client databases within the company’s ERP/accounting system.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com)
• Experience: 1–2 years of proven experience in accounting and data entry. Prior experience in the textile, apparel, or manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
• Software Proficiency: Strong command of Tally ERP 9 / Tally Prime.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP) for inventory tracking and data management.
• Compliance Knowledge: Thorough understanding of current GST regulations, TDS, and general corporate accounting practices.
