Video Content Editor

The Role

We are looking for a creative and hands-on Video Editor & Content Creator who can independently manage the end to-end production of short-form video content, from concept development and scripting to shooting and final editing. The ideal candidate should understand social media trends, audience engagement, storytelling, and performance driven content. You will work closely with the Marketing Head, Founder, Graphic Designer, and Performance Marketer to create engaging Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and video advertisements that build brand credibility, educate audiences, and generate business enquiries. This is an execution-focused role for someone who can transform ideas into compelling visual stories and consistently deliver high-quality content. 

Key Responsibilities

1. Turn Topics into Video Ideas

• Convert monthly content topics (CIBIL, EMIs, loan eligibility, and balance transfers) into engaging Reel concepts.

• Write catchy hooks, short Hinglish scripts, and shot lists for approval before shooting.

• Identify trending formats and audio relevant to the finance industry. 

2. Shoot on iPhone & camera

• Plan and conduct shoots with the Founder and team, managing framing, lighting, audio, and B-roll.

• Guide people on camera to ensure natural and confident delivery.

• Shoot vertical videos in the office and on location. 

3. Edit

• Edit engaging Reels with strong hooks, clean audio, punch-ins, and word-by-word captions.

• Use B-roll and basic motion graphics to support the content.

4. Make Ads That Perform

• Create multiple versions of Reels with different opening hooks for Meta ad testing.

• Review performance metrics with the Performance Marketer and improve future videos.  

5. Run Video Production

• Manage weekly shooting and editing schedules, and maintain organised footage and reusable templates.

• Follow compliance guidelines, including disclaimers and restrictions on guaranteed approvals or misleading rate claims.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 2–4 years making short-form video, with a portfolio of reels or ads you shot and edited yourself.

• Strong editing in Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve, plus CapCut for quick turnarounds.

• Confident iPhone shooting: framing, natural light and basic lighting setups, lapel-mic audio.

• A sharp sense of hooks, pacing and storytelling for Instagram and Facebook.

• Fluent Hindi and English, comfortable writing Hinglish scripts and captions. 

Good to Have

• Gujarati, for regional content.

• Basic After Effects or motion graphics.

• Experience in finance, fintech, insurance or another regulated category.

• Comfort appearing on camera or doing voice-overs.
