📋 Estimation & Design Engineer– Job Description (JD)

 Job Summary

Must be Electrical engineer or E.C Engineer only

The Estimation & Design Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and designing electrical and automation systems based on project requirements, specifications, and standards.

✅ Key Responsibilities

🔹 Estimation

Study tender documents, BOQ, drawings, and technical specifications Prepare detailed cost estimation and project budgeting

Calculate material, labor, and overhead costs Prepare techno-commercial offers and quotations

Coordinate with purchase and vendors for price confirmation Analyze cost variations and support value engineering

🔹 Design

Prepare electrical drawings (SLD, GA, wiring diagrams, control schematics) Design LT panels, PCC, MCC, PLC, and automation systems

Select electrical components as per standards and client requirements Ensure compliance with IS / IEC standards and safety norms

Coordinate with project, production, and site teams for design execution

Handle design revisions and as-built drawings

 Required Skills

✔ Strong knowledge of electrical systems and automation

✔ Estimation, costing, and BOQ preparation

✔ AutoCAD / EPLAN / electrical design software

✔ Understanding of standards (IS, IEC)

✔ ERP / MS Excel proficiency

✔ Analytical and problem-solving skills

➵ Qualification Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering / Electrical

/ EC

Experience in estimation & design for industrial electrical projects (preferred)
