Job Description
Position
CA Article Assistant (ICAI practical training)
Location:Ahmedabad, Gujarat (on-site)
Reports to:CA
Stipend:As per ICAI norms
Key responsibilities
Audit and assurance
1. Assist in statutory, tax, internal and stock audits, from planning and vouching to preparing working papers.
2. Verify books of accounts, bank reconciliations and fixed asset registers for audit clients.
Direct tax
3. Prepare and file income tax returns for individuals, firms and companies.
4. Assist with TDS returns, advance tax workings and Form 26AS/AIS reconciliations.
5. Help draft replies to income tax notices and assessments.
GST and indirect tax
6. Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9/9C) and reconcile them with GSTR-2B.
7. Assist with GST registrations, amendments and notice replies.
Accounting and client coordination
8. Maintain books of accounts and finalise financial statements in Tally.
9. Collect documents and information from clients, and keep client files organised.
Research
10. Research provisions of the Income-tax Act, GST law, Companies Act, 2013 and relevant notifications as required.
Who we are looking for
Eligibility
* ICAI student who has cleared CA Intermediate (both groups preferred; single group considered on merit)
* Eligible to register for ICAI practical training (articleship)
* Graduate or pursuing graduation; B.Com preferred
Skills
* Basic understanding of accounting standards, income tax and GST
* Working knowledge of Tally, MS Excel and email
* Good written English; Gujarati and Hindi for client communication
* Eager to learn, punctual and organised
