The Senior Executive - Indirect tax (Corporate Functions) will support the indirect tax function across KGS entities, including GST compliance activities, reconciliations, documentation, return preparation, and day-to-day indirect tax activities. The role requires close collaboration with the finance and business teams to ensure timely compliance and effective tax risk management.

 

A. Indirect Tax Compliance and Reporting

•Assist in preparation and filing of GST returns and GST compliances (registrations, returns, e-invoicing, reconciliations and audits)
•Support reconciliations between books and GST returns.
•Maintain GST compliance trackers and documentation.
•Assist with GST and Service Tax refunds, assessment and  litigations
•Assist with SEZ, STPI / EOU compliance including filings and documentation.
•Maintain tax records, compliance trackers and litigation trackers
•Assist in gathering information for audits and assessments
•Assist in tax provisioning and tax accounting processes in accordance with applicable accounting standards
•Develop and maintain SOPs and governance mechanisms for tax processes.

B. Tax Assessments and Litigation Support

•Assist in handling tax notices, assessments, and audit queries.
•Assist with preparation of submissions and supporting documentation for tax authorities.
•Coordinate with external consultants and advisors on ongoing matters

C. Stakeholder Engagement

•Work closely with Finance, Payroll, HR, Procurement, and Legal teams on tax-related matters.
•Support implementation of tax process improvements and controls.

 

D. Audit Coordination

•Support statutory audit, internal audit, and group audit requirements pertaining to tax.
•Support financial statement disclosures and tax provisioning related to indirect taxes
•Chartered Accountant (CA) is preferred
•CA Intermediate / B.Com graduates with relevant experience may also be considered
•2-3 years of relevant Indirect tax experience
•Experience in a multinational / shared services environment preferred.
•Experience in managing large-scale compliance, audits and litigation is preferred
