The Compliance team is responsible for ensuring that the business adheres to regulatory requirements including anti-money laundering policies and legislation and for delivering anti-money laundering systems that meet both policy and regulatory requirements.

The Role:

The Associate Analyst will be responsible for the processing and review of potential Sanction/Politically Exposed Persons screening matches and AML transaction alert monitoring, to detect unusual/suspicious activity on behalf of various prepaid MCP card Issuers globally.

Responsibilities:
• Log, review, investigate and escalate sanctioned party, PEP referrals in line with departmental procedures and time frames
• Handling transaction alerts/cases across the global pre-paid card business to identify potentially suspicious activity in line with departmental procedures and time frames.
• Log, review and investigate suspicious activity reports from internal and external departments/stakeholders.
• Making further enquiries into unusual activities and escalating alerts/cases in a timely manner, where required.
• Drafting Suspicious Activity Reports to be filed with the card Issuer and/or the relevant crime/government agency.
• Maintaining logs, detailing all cases.
• Ensure evidence is maintained and decisions are recorded accurately.

• Understanding of anti-money laundering and sanctions requirements would be beneficial although full training will be provided
