Role Description

Technology Management is responsible for improving the technological aspects of operations to reduce infrastructure costs, improve functional performance and help deliver Divisional business goals. Work includes:

• Partnering with key internal stakeholders to translate bank strategy into objectives and plans for implementation supporting the delivery of world class technology solutions
• Planning and managing computer operations and production support, systems and database administration, network operations, and client service
• Ensuring systems performance and service level requirements are met Managing and maintaining strategic relationships with key IT product and services providers
• Transferring business requirements into technical solutions or into Release Management
• Providing in-depth technical expertise for both tactical and operational initiatives

DWS Real Estate Technology is responsible for the support and development of the global IT platform for the DWS Alternative Real Estate Business with assets under management of in several open and closed/special real estate funds.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Delivery lead to support the Real Estate Technology Team within the Alternatives Technology department. We are a global, client facing team with presence in Germany, UK, US and India. We are an essential part of DWS Technology platform and develop and manage applications for our business partners.

Your key responsibilities

• Accountable for end-to-end technology delivery, cross-team coordination, dependency management, risk mitigation, stakeholder management, and successful release execution of the Real Estate Strategic programmes

• Collaborate closely with multiple Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Technical Leads to ensure clear understanding and prioritization of the product backlog and conversion of priorities into executable delivery plans.

• Define delivery plans, milestones, and release schedules and ensure sprint and release commitments are realistic and achievable.
• Support Stakeholder management:
  • Serve as the primary technology contact for business stakeholders
  • Communicate delivery progress, risks, issues, and dependencies
  • Manage stakeholder expectations regarding scope, timelines, and resources
  • Facilitate discussions between business, technology, operations, and support teams
• Support Agile delivery:
  • Drive delivery predictability and continuous improvement, coordinate work across multiple Agile squads and delivery teams.
  • Ensure Agile metrics and delivery objectives are tracked and achieved.

• Dependency Management

• Identify dependencies across applications, teams, vendors, and infrastructure groups
• Track and manage external dependencies that may impact delivery
• Resolve cross-functional conflicts and prioritization challenges
• Risk & Issue Management
• Maintain and manage RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) logs.
• Identify delivery risks early and establish mitigation plans.
• Escalate critical issues to appropriate governance forums.
• Monitor technology, operational, compliance, and resource risks.
• Drive issue resolution through effective stakeholder engagement
• Governance & Reporting
• Provide regular status reporting to leadership and governance forums.
• Track delivery KPIs, milestones, and release readiness.
• Ensure compliance with delivery standards and governance requirements.
• Support audits, risk reviews, and regulatory reporting where required.
• Technical Delivery Oversight
• Work with Solution Architects and Technical Leads to ensure solutions are robust and compliant
• Understand architecture, integration points, and technology constraints
• Ensure infrastructure, security, and operational readiness activities are completed
• Coordinate testing, deployment, and production release activities
• Support post-implementation monitoring and stabilization
