Senior Engineer - Software Test
- Plan and execute functional, non-functional, integration, and security testing activities for cloud-based software applications.
- Validate device-to-cloud communication, data integrity, scalability, reliability, and security across distributed IoT ecosystems.
- Review and analyze product requirements and technical design documentation to identify testing scope and quality risks.
- Develop test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test data based on business requirements and risk analysis.
- Design, develop, maintain, and enhance automated testing frameworks and scripts.
- Execute manual and automated test cases, evaluate results, and communicate quality status to key stakeholders.
- Identify, document, track, and support resolution of software defects throughout the development lifecycle.
- Maintain test documentation, metrics, reports, and release readiness assessments.
- Participate in automation code reviews and contribute to best practices that improve test maintainability and effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with software developers, product owners, and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure successful product delivery.
- Drive continuous improvements in testing methodologies, tools, processes, and quality standards.
- Work effectively with local and remote teams across multiple geographic locations and time zones.
- You consistently deliver high-quality outcomes by applying strong analytical thinking and sound judgment to solve complex problems. You collaborate effectively with diverse teams, build productive relationships, and communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels. You adapt quickly to changing priorities, demonstrate accountability for results, and continuously seek opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and customer value. You actively contribute to a culture of innovation, learning, and teamwork.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Electronics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in software testing with strong hands-on automation testing experience.
- Experience testing web-based applications across functional and non-functional domains.
- Ability to develop and execute test strategies, test plans, and quality reporting processes.
- Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium or Playwright.
- Working knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as Java or C#.
- Knowledge of IoT communication technologies and protocols, including OPC UA, Modbus, and TCP.
- Experience using Azure DevOps for Agile project tracking, defect management, and test management.
- Hands-on experience in API testing using Postman and REST Assured.
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.
- Understanding of containerization technologies and concepts.
- Relevant professional experience in software testing, automation, and quality engineering.
- Experience with cybersecurity-focused software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices and secure testing techniques.
- Knowledge of IEC 62443 cybersecurity standards.
- Hands-on experience testing cloud-based digital twin applications.
- Exposure to industrial automation systems, Industrial IoT environments, or connected device ecosystems.
- Experience working within globally distributed Agile development teams.
