Java Developer
Job Description – Java Backend Developer (5+ Years)
Experience: 5+ Years
Role: Java Backend Developer / Senior Java Developer
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance backend applications using Java.
- Develop and enhance microservices-based applications using Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
- Design and implement secure, scalable RESTful APIs and integrate with internal/external systems.
- Participate in application design, technical discussions, code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Develop applications following clean coding, SOLID principles, design patterns, and industry best practices.
- Work with relational and/or NoSQL databases and optimize database queries.
- Implement appropriate exception handling, logging, monitoring, and application security.
- Develop unit and integration tests and maintain good code coverage.
- Work with CI/CD pipelines and support deployments across different environments.
- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Mandatory Technical Skills
- 5+ years of hands-on Java backend development experience
- Strong knowledge of Java 8/11/17+, including Collections, Streams, Lambda Expressions, Exception Handling, Multithreading, and Concurrency
- Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring MVC
- Strong experience in Microservices architecture and development
- Strong experience designing and consuming REST APIs
- Experience with Spring Data JPA / Hibernate
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL
- Good understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, design patterns, and data structures
- Experience with JUnit, Mockito, or similar testing frameworks
- Experience with Maven or Gradle
- Working knowledge of Git
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
- Experience debugging and troubleshooting complex backend/production issues
