About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on Senior DSP Engineer to drive the deployment, optimization, and integration of advanced signal processing algorithms on embedded computing platforms for Automotive and Industrial Automation applications.

The ideal candidate will possess strong DSP fundamentals, expertise in translating MATLAB-based algorithms into production-ready embedded software, and deep experience in performance optimization, platform bring-up, and hardware-software debugging. You will work closely with algorithm, hardware, systems, validation, and product teams to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions across heterogeneous compute architectures.

This role is best suited for engineers who enjoy converting innovative algorithms into robust products and solving complex system-level challenges

Your Responsibilities

• Port and transform DSP algorithms from MATLAB prototypes into efficient and maintainable embedded C/C++ implementations. Optimize algorithms for performance, latency, memory utilization, power efficiency, and real-time execution requirements.
• Validate algorithm behavior against MATLAB reference models and ensure functional equivalence. Perform numerical analysis, accuracy validation, and performance profiling on target hardware.
• Integrate DSP software into embedded platforms and product architectures. Drive platform bring-up, software integration, and feature enablement activities.
• Leverage platform-specific DSP capabilities, accelerators, and compute engines for optimal performance. Develop scalable, configurable, and reusable software frameworks and modules.
• Investigate and resolve complex issues spanning algorithms, middleware, drivers, operating systems, and hardware. Perform root-cause analysis of functional, performance, and field-related issues.
• Collaborate closely with hardware and system teams during board bring-up and platform validation. Utilize profiling, tracing, logging, and debug tools to identify bottlenecks and optimize system performance
• Partner with Algorithm, Systems, Hardware, Validation, Product Management, and Customer teams. Drive technical discussions and contribute to architecture and implementation decisions.
• Support issue triaging, customer escalations, and product releases when required. Collaborate effectively across global and multidisciplinary teams
• Utilize modern AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and software quality. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and adoption of advanced software engineering practices.

Your Background

Key ingredients for succeeding in this role are your:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Signal Processing, Embedded Systems, or related fields.
• 8-12 years of experience in DSP software development for embedded systems.
• Strong understanding of Digital Signal Processing concepts and implementation techniques.
• Proven experience in porting algorithms from MATLAB models to embedded software implementations.
• Advanced proficiency in MATLAB for algorithm development, verification, analysis, and debugging.
• Strong expertise in Embedded C/C++ programming. Experience working with real-time, performance-critical embedded systems.
• Hands-on experience in hardware-software integration and debugging.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, modular design, and reusable framework development.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills

Preferred Skills

DSP & Platform Experience

• Hands-on experience with Texas Instruments TDA4 family of SoCs.
• Experience with, C7x DSP, MMA (Matrix Multiply Accelerator), TIOVX, OpenVX
• Experience optimizing DSP and vision processing workloads on heterogeneous architectures.

Operating Systems & Platforms

• QNX
• VxWorks
• Embedded Linux

Development Processes & Tools

• Polarion
• Jira
• Git, Gerrit, Github and CI/CD workflows
• Static analysis and software quality tools

Domain Experience

• Automotive ADAS, Radar, Vision, Sensor Processing, Perception, or Control Systems.
• Industrial Automation, Machine Vision, Robotics, Smart Sensors, or Edge Computing solutions.

Additional Advantage

• Exposure to AI/ML deployment on embedded edge platforms.
• Familiarity with SIMD/vector processing and hardware acceleration concepts.
• Experience with performance benchmarking and system optimization
