Roles & responsibilities ​

We are recruiting for a Manager in the Financial Service Audit team in Ireland. In this team, your responsibilities will include leading a team of experienced professionals and perform Manager reviews Audit engagements of KPMG Ireland team in Financial Service clients. In addition, you will be required to: ​

Act as the Manager on job on audit of the financial statements especially of Financial Service clients as per country specific statutory requirements​

Undertake smaller and medium-sized assignments independently or assist in larger assignments reporting to a Senior Manager or Director ​

Establish strong professional relationships with onshore team members through weekly meetings and calls with onshore stakeholders ​

Provide regular updates on work pipeline, discussions with onshore teams to the entire team ​

Review the audit work performed by the subordinates and coach them ​

Review and present audit workpapers, document audit procedures and audit findings.​

Identify issues/missing information, manage & track the open issues until resolved​

Educational qualifications ​

Work experience :​

Professional Chartered Accountancy qualification (e.g. ICAI or ACCA)​

The candidate must have 5+ years of relevant post qualification experience in a similar role, preferably with a Big4 accounting firm​

 

Mandatory  technical & functional skills​

In depth knowledge of external Audit for corporate and/or international clients​

Understanding of international GAAP, IFRS and Financial sector will be an added advantage​

Understanding of international GAAP, IFRS and Experience in Financial Service sector (i.e. Banking, Insurance, Asset Management) will be an added advantage​

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)​
