Reporting Professional I
Swiss ReJob Description
Reporting Professional I
If you have a passion for financial analysis, a sharp analytical mind, and a drive to make a real impact in the world of reinsurance — this is the opportunity for you. Join a dynamic, collaborative finance team where your work directly influences strategic decisions at the highest levels of the organization.
About the Role
As a Reporting Professional I, you will play a key role in supporting multi-valuation variance analysis of regional financial results across IFRS, US GAAP, and Economic valuation frameworks. You will be at the heart of explaining business performance drivers within the P&C business, partnering closely with Client Markets, Underwriting, Business Management, and Finance teams. This is a role where analytical rigor meets storytelling — translating complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct multi-valuation variance analysis for Plan vs. Projections, Quarter-to-Quarter, and YTD movements under IFRS 17, US GAAP, and Economic valuation frameworks
- Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators, monitor key financial result drivers, and highlight causes of unexpected variances
- Prepare and deliver quarterly and ad-hoc presentations on financial result drivers to senior stakeholders, communicating complex findings in a clear and accessible manner
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Business Management, and Underwriting teams on topics related to Renewal data analysis, Economic Value Management, and US GAAP/IFRS reporting
- Support FP&A, Group Reporting, and Management Teams with in-depth financial analysis and timely, accurate reporting
- Manage and nurture stakeholder relationships across multiple teams, acting as a trusted partner for financial insights
- Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate, timely analysis to a diverse range of stakeholders
- Communicate results effectively in a way that is easily understood by audiences who do not work with financial data on a daily basis
- Engage with senior management on key financial topics, gaining exposure and building expertise in a high-visibility environment
About the Team
This role sits within a high-performing finance team responsible for the multi-valuation variance analysis of regional financial results across a management unit, covering IFRS, US GAAP, and Economic valuation. The team plays a critical role in explaining the business performance drivers of the P&C business, working in close partnership with P&C Client Markets, Underwriters, Business Management, and Finance teams. Together, the team delivers meaningful analysis that helps the organization understand key financial movements, supports strategic decision-making, and drives a culture of financial transparency and accountability.
About You
You are a curious, detail-oriented finance professional who thrives in a collaborative environment. You bring strong analytical capabilities and a genuine enthusiasm for understanding what drives financial performance. You are comfortable navigating complexity, can communicate financial concepts clearly to diverse audiences, and are eager to grow your expertise in a dynamic, global reinsurance environment. You take ownership of your work, are a proactive team player, and bring a positive, learning-oriented mindset to everything you do.
We Are Looking for Candidates Who Meet These Requirements:
- Professional qualification in CA, CFA, FRM, or MBA from a recognized institution
- 0–3+ years of experience in Financial Controlling, Financial Reporting and Analysis, or FP&A
- Strong knowledge of Finance principles with deep understanding of financial statements, valuation concepts, and reporting standards including IFRS 17 (preferred)
- Proficiency in MS Office applications — particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access — with the ability to build robust financial models and compelling presentations
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to synthesize large volumes of financial data into clear insights
These Are Additional Nice to Haves:
- Understanding of Insurance or Reinsurance business, products, or prior experience in the insurance industry
- Familiarity with multi-valuation frameworks including US GAAP and Economic Value Management concepts
- Experience supporting senior stakeholder presentations and managing relationships across multiple functions
- Self-driven attitude with a demonstrated ability and willingness to continuously learn and adapt
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical financial information for non-specialist audiences
- Experience with variance analysis across Plan vs. Actuals, Quarter-to-Quarter, and Year-to-Date reporting cycles
Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week.
