Senior IP Product Analyst

We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior IP Product Analyst to translate IP law updates into software requirements, configure and validate system changes, and ensure the accuracy of legal content within our products. The role involves requirements gathering, testing, UAT participation, release coordination, troubleshooting, and stakeholder support. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to process improvements, and help maintain high-quality product releases while supporting knowledge sharing across the team.

 

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments…

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Law, Intellectual Property, or related field
• 5 Years of Relevant Experience in IP-related legal publishing, or product work
• Minimum 3 Years experience in using the Patent Renewals System (PRS)

What will you be doing in this role?...

• Maintain a complete understanding of the system and its architecture.
• Translate verified medium to high priority IP law updates into software requirements with minimal supervision.
• Configure, write requirements, test, and validate updates within software systems with minimal supervision.
• Contribute to building complex testing scenarios and participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to confirm law content accuracy.
• Escalate and track law-related software issues with senior colleagues and participate in troubleshooting.
• Create and maintain accurate records of updates and system changes.
• Coordinate release deliverables for assigned jurisdictions or modules, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Draft entries for release notes with high accuracy.
• Act as a point of contact for internal teams, responding to low and medium-level product functionality queries.
• Provide basic user support to internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to troubleshooting and process improvement initiatives.
• Review the work of other Product Analysts for accuracy.
• Provide knowledge transfer and guidance to colleagues to support learning and consistency.

 

About The Team

The IP Laws team is responsible for monitoring, analysing, and implementing intellectual property law changes globally. We partner closely with Product, Operations, Technology, and Client teams to ensure accurate legal content, support complex client queries, drive process improvements, and maintain knowledge resources that underpin our IP services. The team consists of experienced Senior, Principal, and Senior Principal IP Product Analysts.

Hours of Work

Full Time, EST time zone

This is a hybrid role working 2-3 days a week in one of our local office locations
