Software Engineer

Responsibilities

Software Engineering & Delivery

• Design, develop, test, and maintain features across web applications and backend services.
• Build scalable, secure, and reliable applications that meet functional and non-functional requirements.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and engineers to deliver business value.
• Participate in technical design discussions and proof-of-concept initiatives.
• Develop automated unit, integration, and regression tests.
• Monitor application performance and implement observability solutions.
• Support production systems and participate in rotational support activities as required.

AI-Assisted Engineering

• Use AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity across coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and code review activities.
• Evaluate AI-generated outputs and ensure compliance with quality, security, and coding standards.
• Contribute to experimentation with AI/LLM-powered solutions, internal tools, and workflow enhancements.
• Share emerging practices related to AI-assisted software development within the team.

Agile & Collaboration

• Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement activities.
• Engage in pair programming, code reviews, and collaborative problem-solving.
• Contribute to DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and secure software development practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MCA, or related discipline.
• 2-5 years of software development experience with exposure to both backend and frontend technologies.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or another major cloud platform.
• Knowledge of software testing practices including unit and integration testing.
• Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with code quality and application security tools.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools and willingness to adopt emerging engineering technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating AI/LLM services into applications.
• Experience with Vertex AI, Gemini, or other AI platforms.
• Exposure to MCP (Model Context Protocol) or similar integration frameworks.
• Experience with mobile application development (Swift or Kotlin).
• Experience mentoring engineers or supporting AI-assisted development practices.
• Experience creating reusable prompts, workflows, or team productivity standards.
