About your team

The GPS Marketing team is a small, high-ownership group of performance marketers. We run paid search, SEO, and generative engine presence for Fidelity's UK retail business — helping people find, understand, and choose the right financial products at the right moment.

About your role

You'll own SEO and GEO delivery for a 6-month period, covering a planned absence. From day one, you'll be managing schema markup, tracking organic search performance, and making sure Fidelity earns its place in AI-generated search results — not just traditional ones. This will involve:

• Managing and implementing structured data / schema markup across fidelity.co.uk

• Monitoring organic search KPIs — sessions, impressions, click-through rates — via Google Search Console and Adobe Analytics

• Optimising content so Fidelity appears in AI-generated responses (Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity) — this is what we call GEO

• Coordinating with website, compliance, and brand teams to ensure everything we publish is search-ready and regulation-compliant

• Preparing monthly performance reports and contributing to quarterly business reviews

• Identifying content and keyword gaps, and working with the team to close them

About you

You have 5 or more years of hands-on SEO experience and are comfortable with technical execution — audits, structured data, crawl analysis, and rank tracking tools like SEMrush or Ahrefs. You understand what it means to work in a regulated environment, and ideally you'll have done so in financial services or a similarly compliance-led industry. You hold at least a graduate-level qualification (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) and can translate search data into clear, plain-English insight for senior stakeholders. You take ownership, ask smart questions early, and can get up to speed without hand-holding.
