Job Description:

QA Automation Engineer (5+ Years Experience)

Position: QA Automation Engineer

 

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer with 5+ years of experience in software testing and automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks, ensuring high-quality software delivery through robust testing strategies and continuous improvement of QA processes.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web, API, and backend applications.
• Develop and enhance test automation frameworks using industry-standard tools and best practices.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and DevOps teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Create and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test cases.
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, or similar frameworks.
• Identify, document, track, and verify software defects.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyze test results, generate reports, and provide quality metrics to stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and continuously improve testing processes.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Software Testing and QA Automation.
• Strong experience in automation tools such as: 
  • Selenium WebDriver
  • Cypress
  • Playwright
  • TestNG/JUnit
• Proficiency in programming languages such as:
  • Java
  • JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Python (preferred)
• Experience with API automation testing using Rest Assured, Postman, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of test automation frameworks and design patterns.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI.
• Good understanding of version control systems such as Git.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

 

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter.
• Exposure to container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
• Knowledge of security testing concepts and best practices.
