Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Connex Developer with strong expertise in HP NonStop (Tandem) environments and hands-on development experience in TAL, TACL, COBOL, Enscribe, and Connex payment switching applications. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of ATM/POS transaction processing, card payments, acquiring/issuing systems, and ISO8583 messaging.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, customize, and support Connex payment switch applications.
• Develop and maintain applications on HP NonStop (Tandem) platforms.
• Build and enhance transaction processing solutions using TAL, TACL, COBOL, and Enscribe.
• Work on ATM, POS, Acquiring, Issuing, and EFT transaction flows.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues within payment switching environments.
• Develop and support ISO8583 message interfaces and transaction routing logic.
• Perform switch configuration, testing, implementation, and production deployment activities.
• Participate in system integration, certification, and migration projects.
• Collaborate with business, operations, and client teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of payment processing systems.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Connex Switch.
• Development experience on HP NonStop (Tandem) platforms.
• Proficiency in one or more of: TAL TACL COBOL Enscribe
• Experience with ATM/POS transaction processing.
• Knowledge of ISO8583 message formats and transaction flows.
• Experience in Acquiring and Issuing payment systems.
• Strong debugging and production support experience.

Preferred Skills

• Base24 / Connex migration experience.
• Visa, Mastercard, NPCI, or payment network certification exposure.
• Knowledge of Cards & Payments domain.
• Experience with EFT Switches and Payment Gateways.
• Unix/Linux exposure.
• Banking and Financial Services domain experience.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experienced Connex Developer with strong HP NonStop/Tandem expertise and hands-on development in TAL, TACL, COBOL, or Enscribe. Must have worked on payment switching platforms supporting ATM/POS acquiring, card issuing, ISO8583 transaction processing, and production support within the Cards & Payments domain.
