We are seeking a skilled Cognos Consultant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Cognos BI solutions for our clients. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to understand their business requirements, translating these into technical specifications, and creating effective reporting solutions. The Cognos Consultant will also be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving any Cognos-related issues, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data, and providing training and support to end-users.
Responsibilities
•    Design, develop, and maintain Cognos reports and dashboards
•    Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements
•    Provide technical support and training to end-users
•    Ensure data quality and integrity in databases
Required Skills
•    Proficiency in Cognos Analytics
•    Expertise in Data Visualization
•    Strong understanding of SQL and database concepts
•    A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
Preferred Skills
•    Knowledge of ETL tools like Informatica, DataStage
•    Experience with other BI tools like Tableau, Power BI
•    Familiarity with Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Spark
•    Understanding of data warehousing concepts
•    Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java
•    Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure
•    Knowledge of Agile methodologies
•    Familiarity with data modeling tools
•    Understanding of statistical analysis and predictive modeling
•    Excellent communication and presentation skills
