Job Purpose
The Corporate Development team drives the company's long-term growth and strategic evolution. As a Senior Corporate Development team member, you will own the end-to-end inorganic growth roadmap — from scouting and originating deals through evaluation, execution, and handoff to integration. You will bring deep, hands-on experience from the venture capital ecosystem and act as a primary connector between external market opportunities and internal executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy & Market Intelligence
• Partner with senior executives to define and refine the company's inorganic growth roadmap
• Run continuous macroeconomic and industry research to surface emerging trends, market disruptions, and high-fit targets
• Track market developments, precedent transactions, and comparable companies
• Own and maintain a proactive pipeline of acquisition, investment, and partnership targets
2. Deal Scouting & Sourcing
• Actively scout and originate deals across the VC ecosystem — founders, venture funds, growth investors, and strategic networks
• Build and deepen relationships with VCs, investment bankers, PE firms, and target company leadership
• Screen inbound and outbound opportunities against corporate strategic criteria with clear go/no-go judgment
• Develop sharp strategic rationale and business cases for C-suite and Board review
3. Deal Management
• Own the deal book: prioritization, stage tracking, stakeholder alignment, and decision cadence
• Coordinate due diligence and manage data rooms on live transactions
• Orchestrate internal cross-functional teams (Legal, Finance, Tax, HR, Product, Operations) and external advisors through diligence
• Keep executives current on deal status, risks, and trade-offs with crisp, decision-ready updates
4. Drive Execution
• Lead project management of the full transaction lifecycle from LOI through definitive documentation and close
• Drive momentum across counterparties, advisors, and internal owners so deals move from interest to signed outcome
• Surface blockers early and resolve them with clear ownership and timelines
• Ensure commercial, legal, and financial workstreams stay aligned to the deal thesis through closing
5. Integration & Post-Closing Support
• Partner with operational teams to design post-merger integration playbooks
• Help ensure projected financial and operational synergies are tracked and realized after close
Role Requirements & Qualifications
Education & Experience
• CA / MBA preferred
• 6–8 years of relevant experience, with meaningful hands-on time in the VC ecosystem (venture capital, growth equity, corporate venture, or VC-facing corpdev / M&A)
• Proven track record in deal scouting, deal management, and driving deals through execution (not only analysis or support)
• Comfort operating as an individual contributor who can also lead cross-functional deal teams
• Strong judgment on strategic fit, valuation framing, and commercial diligence
• Excellent written and verbal communication with senior stakeholders
Nice to Have
• Prior experience closing M&A, minority investments, or strategic partnerships
• Exposure to post-merger integration or value-creation work after close
• Existing network across Indian / global VC and founder ecosystems
