Business Intelligence Specialist
Job Title: Lead Tableau Administrator (Cloud & On-Premise)
Experience Required: 8+ years IT experience (5+ years in Tableau Administration)
Technical Stack: Deep expertise in Tableau Server (2025+), Tableau Cloud, AWS, Windows/Unix environments, and modern databases (Snowflake, MSSQL, etc.).Key Responsibilities
- Platform Administration: Install, configure, and upgrade Tableau Server (service packs/fix packs) across Windows/Unix clusters and AWS cloud environments.
- License & Capacity Management: Manage environment sizing, capacity planning, and Tableau license allocations for optimal cost and performance.
- Monitoring & Optimization: Proactively monitor system health, background jobs, and extract refreshes. Perform deep-level performance tuning for complex dashboards and heavy queries.
- Security & Governance: Oversee user and content management, establishing strict authentication and authorization protocols. Manage seamless code and content migrations.
- Integrations & Databases: Connect Tableau to key enterprise databases (Snowflake, MSSQL, Oracle, DB2) and lead integrations with third-party applications like Metadata Management and Stats reporting.
- Team Leadership: Act as the primary liaison coordinating between onshore and offshore teams, providing technical guidance and sharing data visualization best practices.
- Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Added values- Knowledge of Tableau SDKs, APIs, and Big Data reporting is highly valued.
- Communication : Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Availability: Must be flexible to support global operations in a shift-based model.
