Roles & responsibilities ​

We are recruiting for an Assistant Manager in the Financial Service Audit team. In this team, your responsibilities will include leading a team of experienced professionals, perform reviews and work on Audit engagements of international KPMG teams and Financial Service and/or international clients. In addition, you will be required to: ​

•Leading and managing a team comprising of fresh graduates and experienced professionals. ​

•Auditing and incharging complex sections of the financial statements of companies or end to end audit as per country specific statutory requirements.​

•Prepare and present audit workpapers, document audit procedures and audit findings.​

•Identify issues/missing information, manage & track the open issues until resolved.​

•Monitoring work, managing, and motivating the team to ensure deliverables are meeting necessary quality standards. ​

•Being active member of the Financial Service Audit engagement team and perform and supervise in audit procedures ​

•Contacting client and onshore team regularly to update on the progress of audit engagement.​

•Sharing knowledge, mentoring, and coaching the team members.​

•Identification of issues/missing information and managing & tracking the open issues until resolved.​

•Maintaining the data confidentiality and adherence to the risk management policy by the team members.​

•Performance review of the team.​

•Review of the team’s work and to provide timely feedback to team members to enable them to improve their performance.​

•Building relationships with senior stakeholders both onshore as well as KRC.​

Educational qualifications ​

Professional Chartered Accountancy qualification (ICAI)​

Additional certifications (if any) ​

Work experience​

The candidate must have 3 to 5 years of relevant post qualification experience in a similar role, preferably with a Big4 accounting.​

Experience:. Prior experience in Fund Audits, particularly within the Real Estate and Private Equity sectors. Asset Management knowledge preferred but at the least strong FS knowledge​

 

Preferred technical & functional skills ​

Asset Management knowledge and experience is preferred but at the least strong FS knowledge and experience is required. Following skillset is required as well:​

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)​

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.​

In depth knowledge of external Audit for Financial Services and/or international clients.​

In-depth understanding of International GAAP, IFRS, and the asset management and financial sectors will be an added advantage​
